Description
The Model 1879 sword was authorized in 1878 and produced by the Springfield Amory from 1879 through 1903. The style of the Springfield address and the etching on the blade indicate this sword was produced in the later years of production. CONDITION: Most of the gilt remains on the hilt with the grip and wire in excellent condition. The blade is bright with original gloss. The scabbards nickel plate is bright, no gilt remains on the scabbard mountings. All in all, excellent condition. Please see the pictures. Shipping $40
