Description
This appears to be the Mexican War period version of the U. S. 1839 pattern of saddle holsters. The cartridge tubes measure slightly less than 2 1/2 inches long which would seem to indicate the use of percussion Model 1842 pistols or converted Model 1836 pistols. This set also has the straps used to attach the holsters to the saddle. Condition is very good considering age. The set is complete with no torn stiching. The leather surface is crazed but overall the leather itself is pliable. Please look at the pictures. Shipping $10.00
