Description
This appears to be the Mexican War period version of the U. S. 1839 pattern saddle holsters. The cartridge tubes measure slightly less than 2 1/2 inches long which seems to indicate they held a percussion cartridge. (For the Model 1842 and converted Model 1836 pistols) Condition is very good for the age. The set is complete and the stiching is not torn. The leather surface is crazed but the leather overall is pliable. The tabs that secure the covers to the brass studs are very worn. Please see the pictures. Shipping $40.00
