Description
Differing little from the Model 1860 Staff Officers’ sword, this Armory product was authorized in 1872. 1,499 were produced in 1873 and 2 in 1875. The dress scabbard is nickel plated. CONDITION: The sharkskin grip covering and wire are perfect, the spring lock for the folding counter guard works, the blade is overall bright with a few dark spots, the nickel plate on the scabbard is bright with a few small flaks. the gilt is worn off.
